Backstory:  Epice Bloodeye



Kronton T'agon (Father - Dark Elf  [Drow])
Diaara Lightningeye (Mother - Ghostwise Halfling)
Yondalla (God - Met while traveling)

Her mother was selected by Malar (really by Lolth herself) to participate on a raid of a Gith stronghold, which held some things of interest. Her small contingent of infiltrators was accompanied by a band of Drow lead by Kronton T'agon. They did not mix well. During the incursion Diaara was promoted to leader for the halfling bunch. 

After achieving their objective the Drow warriors turned on the remaining halflings and a short savage battle ensued. Most halfling and drow escaped back through their portals, but Kronton and Diaara were each cast adrift on the Astral Sea.

As fate is cruel, or perhaps kind, they both landed on a small oasis. Their battle continued for an unknown amount of time, maybe a century, neither killing the other, or capturing for an extended time. A contingent of Githyanki landed on the same rock.. and suddenly Diaara and Kronton became fast friends. 

Dispatching these errant gith, the two of them proceeded to complete their original quest, which they did with ease. Exiting through their respective portals they rejoined their clans, neither completely reintegrated, their loot was almost moot, and no one knew them. Diaara in true Ghostwise fashion, took control of her clan, easily the most accomplished warrior in what was now her land.

Diaara gave birth to Epice a few months later. Her clan new immediately what she had done, and slowly their wheels of exile started to turn. Being a regent and unparalleled warrior, Diaara was hard to defeat, but a decade and a half later Diaara and Epice were exiled on the same Astral sea.

Diaara knew how to escape by now, but first marooned Epice on the rock Oasis she knew so well. Diaara returned again, alone to Faerun.

Epice was alone for many years, then a stout woman appeared, asking for help. Epice did her best, providing by instinct grand hospitality for Yondalla, the goddess who created all halflings. Epice had never gained the telepathy for which her mother's race was known, nor any of her father's innate magic. She had never spoken to anyone except her mother, hiding her lack of telepathy, until she met Yondalla. Yondalla gave her the clan name Bloodeye. Saying she had one eye to the sunrise and the other on the full moon.

Yondalla smiled, like she won some unknown bet, whispered into Epice's ear and Epice awoke on Faerun. She had aged a few years between the time she met Yondalla and now. Wearing some traveling gear, she had a quarterstaff and a rapier, an almost empty backpack, but most importantly her wit. She flagged down an approaching caravan and said "Hello.".

Thus began her story.
